PHILOSOPHY

EDUCARE is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and is committed to excellence in child care. We are a child-centered program offering a nurturing environment with age-appropriate activities planned to stimulate children's development. Attention is given to all areas of development (physical, emotional, social and cognitive) through an integrated approach centered in play.
Our teachers are specialists in early childhood education. They plan a variety of enjoyable activities for each day that are developmentally appropriate and foster the individual growth of each child.

EDUCARE PROVIDES:

  •  A beautiful facility, designed for young children.
  •  Three acres of spacious, landscaped grounds for outside play and picnics.
  •  Warm and loving teachers and caregivers trained in early childhood education.
  •  Developmentally appropriate daily activities. Breakfast, two nutritional snacks,      and a hot lunch.
  •  Active parent involvement through daily exchanges with staff and, more formally,
         parent meetings, conferences and workshops.
  •  Space for nursing mothers.
  •  Regular field trips and outings.

    INFANT & TODDLER PROGRAM

    Tadpoles

Our infants are nurtured in their development through activities in movement, play and exploration.
    Guppies

Young toddlers work on emerging language, self-help and social skills are the characteristics strengthened in our toddler group.

    Seals

Older toddlers display increasing capacities in curiosity towards everything. The Seals are encouraged to use their curiosity as a vehicle to learning.

    PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Please note: Children entering the Preschool Program must be completely toilet trained.

    Flounders

Children enrolled in the Flounders group have their language expression and critical thought ability ripened.

    Dolphins

This is an activity oriented program which promotes the development of gross and fine motor skills. There are lots of hands-on activities, and teachers work to develop the child's questioning capacities.

    Starfish

Our full-day kindergarten program guides children to become more self-reliant and to work independently under the guidance of state certified teachers.

    SUMMER PROGRAM

While operating year round, we run a camp-like summer program. Summer enrollment is accepted, when spaces are available, for children from other programs. Our summer program utilizes our spacious property for outdoor activities, including water play. Dolphin and Starfish classes receive an introduction to water safety.

    ADMISSIONS
