Methodist Family
Services of Philadelphia works in the community providing social
services and intensive family support through Services to Children
in their Own Homes (SCOH), Foster Family Care and Kinship Care
placement when children are temporarily removed from their birth
parents and Legal Custodianship and Adoption Services to provide
permanent homes for children who cannot return to their birth
families.
Residential
housing is offered in two types of accommodations. Bridge House for
Women provides a safe and supportive transitional housing
environment for homeless adult women. Monument Village is a
permanent, subsidized townhouse development of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom
apartments for women and their children. Both programs offer
comprehensive social services designed to foster independence and
self-sufficiency while creating a sense of community for all
residents.
