| A child¡¯s life is impacted by so many variables when growing up. Such issues as physical and sexual abuse, divorce, family strife, loss of a parent, peer pressure can cause deep emotional pain. This pain is often displayed through inappropriate or disruptive behavior such as hostile family confrontations, delinquent behavior or learning problems in school. Therapists trained utilize play therapy for younger children to help them face such problems. |
Methodist Services for Children and Families announces the opening of its Easton Community Counseling Services (CCS) site at 34 S. 2nd Street, Easton.
Responding to the need for conveniently located professional outpatient counseling and therapy services, CCS at Easton is fully licensed by the Office of Mental Health Services, PA Department of Welfare, and is staffed by licensed and qualified clinical social workers and professional counselors who provide the highest quality assessment and treatment for children, youth, and families.
CCS at Easton offers help for problems-in-living, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, other mental illnesses and recovery from traumatic events for children, teens, and adults of all ages. Individual, group, and family counseling are available. In addition to traditional forms of counseling, CCS at Easton offers creative arts therapies including drama, dance, music, and visual art. Referral to CSS’ psychiatrist for evaluation and medication management is also available.
MSCF Community Counseling Services has been providing outpatient counseling and treatment in the Slate Belt region since 1993. A non-profit agency, our mission is to help individuals and families meet the challenges of life by encouraging emotional growth and assisting in problem solving.
CCS at Easton accepts Medical Assistance and most private insurances. CCS partners with other community agencies to serve children, teens and families. Private pay arrangements are available for the uninsured.
