Community Counseling Services and E.F.O.R.T.S.
Community Counseling Services is a private, non-profit program of Methodist Services for Children and Families (MSCF) providing therapeutic counseling services in the rural northeastern area of Pennsylvania in Northampton, Carbon and Monroe Counties.  Accessible and responsive staff provides professional, confidential and affordable counseling and early intervention services to assist children, individuals and families deal with life issues.  Most insurance plans are accepted for payment.

A child¡¯s life is impacted by so many variables when growing up.  Such issues as physical and sexual abuse, divorce, family strife, loss of a parent, peer pressure can cause deep emotional pain.  This pain is often displayed through inappropriate or disruptive behavior such as hostile family confrontations, delinquent behavior or learning problems in school.  Therapists trained utilize play therapy for younger children to help them face such problems.

Community Counseling Services staff collaborates with other area agencies to ensure that those who need the services have reasonable access to professional therapists.  Successful partnerships have been forged between the Community Counseling Services Program and area school districts, local and regional community service agencies and institutions of higher education.  In-service training can be provided to schools, law enforcement agencies, public agencies or area civic or professional groups.

For more information on the Community Counseling Services Program, please contact Marjorie Reagan, Program Administrator at 1-866-880-7927 or mreagan@methodistservices.org.  All calls are held in the strictest of confidence.
